PROJECT OVERVIEW

The goal of this project is to redesign the website for Hygge Hotel, a Scandinavian-style hotel located in the heart of Brussels. The redesign aims to reflect the hotel's unique aesthetic and atmosphere, blending its cozy, relaxed ambiance with a modern and user-friendly digital experience. By aligning the web design with the core principles of hygge—a Danish concept embodying comfort, warmth, and contentment—we will create an immersive online presence that resonates with both new visitors and returning guests.​

PROTOTYPE

The design process started with an in-depth analysis of the website, which helped me pinpoint its strengths, weaknesses, and opportunities for differentiation. Based on these insights, I created a prototype and thoughtfully chose a color palette and typography that reflect the hotel's unique concept.

PROJECT OVERVIEW

The goal is to ensure the user experience is intuitive and visually appealing, allowing potential guests to navigate effortlessly, find information, and make reservations with ease.

Inspired by the Scandinavian aesthetic and hygge philosophy, the redesign will embrace simplicity, warmth, and a welcoming atmosphere. The use of light brown and blue as primary colors will evoke the relaxed, contented mood that the hotel embodies. These colors will symbolize the natural, serene essence of the hotel's interior, making visitors feel at ease from the moment they land on the website.

  • Light Brown: Representing warmth, comfort, and a connection to nature, this color will form the base of the design, creating a sense of groundedness and homeliness.

  • Blue: Evoking calm, relaxation, and trust, blue will provide balance and contrast to the warm tones, while reinforcing a tranquil, inviting experience for users.

The redesign of Hygge Hotel’s website will harmoniously blend Scandinavian design principles with modern web standards, creating a platform that not only informs but emotionally connects with its audience. By embracing the values of comfort, simplicity, and relaxation, the new website will serve as an extension of the hotel’s physical space, offering users a delightful and serene digital experience.
